Kids don't come with an instruction manual.  Every parent feels overwhelmed at times.  STEP is a practical, sensible parent education program that is designed for a group setting. Through STEP, parents learn to understand their child's behaviors (and misbehaviors), to foster cooperation and communication, rather than conflict, to practice effective listening and to use discipline that makes sense and minimizes resistance. The material is geared toward parents of three age groups: preschoolers, elementary/middle schoolers and teens.  This program has been around since the 1970's and has a proven track record.  Research has shown that STEP is a solid resource for parents.  Mark has received training in the STEP method.
